What does a website cost in 2026?
Prices range from DKK 3,000 to 300,000. Here's what actually drives the price — and what a smaller business should pay.
The short answer: a professional website for a smaller Danish business typically costs between DKK 15,000 and 40,000 excl. VAT. But the price alone says nothing — what's in the agreement does.
What drives the price
- Number of pages — each one must be designed, written and built.
- Copy: are you writing it, or should it be written for you?
- Images: do you have usable photos, or is a shoot needed?
- Features: booking, payment, calculators, member logins.
- Search optimisation: how competitive is your industry?
What you get for the money
Under DKK 8,000 you get a template with your logo on it. That can be enough as an online business card, but it rarely brings in customers. From around DKK 15,000 you start getting original copy, a considered structure and the technical setup that makes the site visible on Google.
The hidden costs
Remember hosting (DKK 60–150/month), the domain (about DKK 50/year) and maintenance. Always ask whether you own the code and the domain, and whether you can move the site. If you can't, the cheap price isn't cheap.
